Understanding Anorexia
Physical appearances at the present have been the basis of stereotyping. Twig like body structures are labelled to be “in” or “hot” and if you do not have it, people will often label you as “unfit” or “unattractive”. This is the very reason why a lot of eating disorders have developed. What if you do not have a twig structured body? There are still those out there who find curvy structured body hot, and was there not a time where the curvy ones are the ones that were known to be the Alpha females?
It is undeniable that the physical appearance may affect things, but it is not solely the basis for anything, it is just an aspect as we say. Nevertheless, a lot of people are solely conscious on the physical appearance that they forget what matters most; it is the character and the competence that will take us to places. It is not our vital statistics that can help us reach our dreams, nor would it be the reason to stop reaching it.
